Day To Night Landscapes

P1000259.JPG

For my portraits i wanted to stick around the theme autumn a bit but i also wanted to do some nature work which concluded some shoots in the morning to capture sunrises and buildings along with the environment and in the night to capture lights with cars and buildings in the night time to have a meaning to the project "Day To Night". In this image i have done some sunrise images to show the time of day in the morning. I used some tools in Adobe Photoshop to bring the image out a bit more with all the details, i messed around with the brightness and used the burn tool, i also brought the wall details out a bit more by making it clear. I also went for more of a nature theme in my landscapes but it also links to the original theme autumn.

In this image i wanted to capture both building in the day and night to show my understanding of the theme Day To Night. The building i specifically chose is an old house that i assume caught on fire, i thought it would be a great idea to shoot this building as it has a story behind it and it has a load of history. This image was taken early in the morning to catch the sunrise and the shadows forming from the buildings, this shows that it is quite early and rather cold to give off an autumn vibe. I didn't edit this photo because i wanted to catch the natural image without doing any editing to it to change what the image looked like, i quite liked the original image too as the shadows had fallen correctly into place and made the image stand out more.

In this image i went to the same place as the last image but took a picture of it in the night. One thing i dislike about this image is that the photo was taken on a phone not a digital camera so the quality of the image isn't the best. Once again, i didn't want the image to be edited to ruin any natural looks on the image. I only changed the brightness of the image to make it more visible. Sticking to certain themes in my work, we can see that the night images plays a massive part in this as we have black skies and lights from other buildings are making the abandoned building.
